This microfilm consists of a register of offenses and punishments
for the boys at the Victoria Industrial School. It contains
daily entries, which include the name of the boy, the initials
of the person reporting the infraction, the offense, the
punishment, and the number of marks (presumably, a demerit
point system).

Victoria
Industrial School – Case Books (Sub-Series RG 8-51-7)
This microfilm consists of a volume containing information
about inmates of the Victoria Industrial School including
date, case number, name, age, residence, height, complexion,
eye colour, occupation, birthplace, parent's names, their
residence and occupation, religion and nationality. The
pages also include remarks, often following the discharge
from the school and reflecting their progress. The case
number in this series is the same as the case number in
the Case Files (Sub-Series RG 8-51-8).

Ontario
Reformatory for Boys (Penetanguishene, Ont.) Prisoner’s
Histories (Sub-Series RG 8-52-2)
This microfilm consists of a single volume, which contains
biographical information about prisoners of the Ontario
Reformatory for Boys in Penetanguishene. The histories are
arranged chronologically as inmates were committed. Information
about each includes their crime and sentence and who gave
them their sentence; physical characteristics such as their
size, complexion, appearance, marks and scars, height and
weight; biographical information such as their mother and
father, their places of birth and residence, and if their
parents were "intemperate"; and information about
their personal history, including whether they drank or
smoked, where they have been employed, who their companions
are, how long since they attended school, and whether they
have been arrested previously. The age range of the inmates
varied between eleven and sixteen years of age.
