Hands On History
The Archives of Ontario with the assistance of the Gardiner Museum have created Hands on History, an artistic partnership that involved the successful creation of eight ceramic tiles based on Ontario's archival holdings, to be displayed in the Archives of Ontario's new facility in 2009.

The Government
of Ontario Art Collection
The
formation of the Government of Ontario Art Collection dates
to the middle of the 19th century and was largely due to
the initiative of one man, the Reverend Egerton Ryerson.
With additional works acquired (and lost) over the ensuing
years, the collection today comprises almost 2,500 historical
and contemporary works of art. [

Celebration of Ontario Artists
In 2003, artists from across Ontario were invited to participate
in a juried competition to celebrate the 100th anniversary
of the Archives of Ontario. The resulting exhibition, featured the
work of thirty-four artists. [
