Rebecca Cutler, Assistant Commission Counsel, began at the Ipperwash Inquiry in September 2005. She has a BA in History from the University of Guelph and an LLB from the University of Western Ontario. She was called to the Bar in 2001. Ms. Cutler articled at Borden and Elliot and worked as an associate at Donahue LLP in the Labour and Employment Group. Prior to joining the Ipperwash Inquiry she wrote case summaries for Lexis Nexis.

Katherine Hensel, Assistant Commission Counsel, is a Secwepemc (Shuswap) lawyer practicing in Toronto. She has a B.A. from Simon Fraser University in English Literature and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto. Ms. Hensel was called to the Bar in 2003. She articled at the Toronto office of McCarthy Tétrault and Aboriginal Legal Services of Toronto, and joined the Litigation Group at McCarthy Tétrault on being called to the Bar. In September, 2005, Ms. Hensel established her own practice. Ms. Hensel is co-chair of Rotiio>taties, a group of Aboriginal lawyers, legal scholars, and community members who advise various bodies, including the Law Society of Upper Canada, on legal and professional issues affecting Aboriginal people.

Megan Ferrier, Assistant Commission Counsel, is a lawyer practicing in Toronto.
She has a B.A. in English Literature from McGill University and a J.D. from the University
of Toronto. Ms. Ferrier articled at WeirFoulds LLP in Toronto and since
being called to the Bar in 2003, has has been a member of the Litigation
Group of WeirFoulds LLP.
