Emergency Medical Preparedness Educational Session (April 15, 2005)
On April 15th, 2005, the Inquiry and the Office of the Chief Coroner of
Ontario held an educational session on the subject of emergency medical
procedures and preparedness in Ontario. The purpose of the session was to
assist counsel and parties to better understand emergency medical
procedures/preparedness and the integration of police, paramedics, and
hospitals.
The session focussed on developments since 1995 and discussed how
better planning/integration can be used to reduce violence in the
future. This session coincided with the start of emergency medical
witnesses at Part One of the Inquiry.
