Annual Reports Of Local Superintendents and Local Boards Of Trustees 1850-1870 (Series RG 2-17)

This microfilm consists of the annual reports of local superintendents and boards of trustees. The School Act of 1850 required County Councils to appoint a Local Superintendent, usually a clergyman or physician, to supervise the local Common (Public) Schools as a part time position. By March 1 of each year, every Superintendent was required to submit an annual inspection report using a form from the Education Office. In the case of cities and incorporated towns and villages, the report was submitted by the Board of Trustees.

Teacher Superannuation Files 1820-1919 (Series RG 2-114)

This microfilm contains the pension records of the Teacher Superannuation Fund.
