BACKGROUND.
This ministry was created in the 1960s to promote Ontario's historical and cultural heritage. Because of various name changes, similar material will be found in the records of the Ministries of Culture and Communications (RG 47) and Tourism and Recreation (RG 65).

CONTENT.
Various files on tourist outfitters' associations in remote parts of Ontario 1940s-1950s. Though Aboriginal people did not operate these establishments, most were located in areas of high Indian population. The files undoubtedly contain material relating to aboriginal employment. See for example:
