This description provides brief information about a paper file or an item such as a letter, a sound, video or film recording, a photograph, map, or an architectural drawing. The description also includes information on how to order the file or item.

title
the date it was created
information about how to order the file or item
a link to the description of the group of archival records of which the file or item forms a part
the access status of the group of records to which the file/item belongs
ordering information

To order a file or item, note:

the title of the file or item
the reference code and container number (usually a barcode) found in the “Location and Ordering” field
any restrictions on the item mentioned in the restrictions field.
