Anne Langton - Gentlewoman, Pioneer Settler and Artist

Purpose

To write imaginary letters from Anne Langton or her brother John to friends or relatives in Britain, telling what settlers faced in emigrating to Upper Canada.

Strand: History

British North America. Students examine where and why colonists settled in British North America. They use inquiry/research and communication skills to explore how personalities and events shaped the new British colonies.
