Purpose

Students will explore the evolution of the swimsuit in Canada and compare the original purpose of the swimsuit to its purpose today.

Strand: Fashion and Creative Expression

Students will examine the evolution of the swimsuit in Canada. Students will use swimsuit photographs throughout Canadian history from 1915 to today to compare the original purpose of the swimsuit with its intended effect in modern fashion.
