| Little is known about Wm. B. Crane,
who lived and worked in Toronto circa 1900 to 1960, except that
he made his living as a carpenter. He also received some training
in drafting at the Central Technical School, as is evident in
this architectural drawing he did for a house in east-end Toronto.
Thomas L. Guy was also a carpenter and he and
Crane became acquainted in 1915 when they boarded in the same
house on Essex Avenue. It is likely that Guy was in the business
of house construction and that Crane drew up these plans for his
use.
