Eyewitness: Thomas Burrowes on the Rideau Canal
The Rideau Canal celebrated its 175th year in 2007
and, to recognize the event, the Archives of Ontario
created Eyewitness: Thomas Burrowes on the Rideau Canal. Burrowes worked on the
canal during its construction and documented his experiences in a series of watercolours. The Archives has 115 of his paintings in its collection and many of them are presented here. [
