The Palace Theatre in Kenora was one of two cinemas in Kenora owned by Joseph Derry.

In 1947, Mr. Derry wrote to the Motion Picture Censorship and Theatre Inspection Branch for special permission to occasionally operate with only one projectionist in the booth, in order to give his projectionists one night off per month. Mr. Derry felt that....

The Palace Theatre was closed in 1950, moved a few doors down the street, and renamed the Paramount Theatre.
