| The Palace Theatre
in Kenora was one of two cinemas in Kenora owned
by Joseph Derry.
In 1947, Mr. Derry wrote to the Motion Picture Censorship
and Theatre Inspection Branch for special permission
to occasionally operate with only one projectionist in the booth,
in order to give his projectionists one night off per month. Mr.
Derry felt that....
“these men are
entitled to this with their steady grind day in and day
out”
