ServiceOntario holds registrations for years after these dates. You can order a copy through the Office of the Registrar General.
How to order a certified copy of a registration
Certified copies of a birth, marriage or death registration guarantees that they’re a true copy of the original, just like an original certificate. A certified copy is often required when submitting documentation for legal purposes.
To order a certified copy, you need to provide the following information:
- Name of the individual(s)
- Date of the event
- Registration number
