We’re thrilled to be participating in “J’aime les mots” this year from September 25 to October 23. This French-language initiative invites educators and students to re-think memes as more than amusement. It asks, how are memes also modes of communication — and how can they help us take a fresh look at society? 2026 is the 9th edition of “J’aime les most” and the Archives of Ontario is among fourteen cultural institutions from across Québec and Canada taking part. We’re each providing a handful of archival images to serve as the raw material for various meme-generating activities. Check out our five picks below!
