Renaissance Crèche (1961)
The Konkles’ 1961 display was an expansive crèche (nativity scene) styled like the High Renaissance period, circa 1525. Ted and Eleanor researched for this display for two years in order to properly model it after the elaborate Christmas crèches set up by wealthy European families of the Renaissance.
