In 2005, 18 members of the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) each donated a piece of their own work to the Government of Ontario Art Collection (GOAC). This was the first time in almost 100 years that works from the OSA had been formally acquired by the GOAC and the donation re-imagined the historical tie to a contemporary one, allowing more works by Ontario artists and OSA members to be viewed by the public through placement in government buildings across the province.
