My dearest Wally & Charley,

Just a line in answer to your welcome letters, which I received. Was glad to hear you are both keeping well and safe although we are all sorry to think you are gone back to the trenches. But cheer up and lets all hope and trust you will keep safe and sound and trust to One Above. I daresay Ern , Sid and Charlie Goddard are pleased to have you back with them again. Well Dears I sent your parcel off the 16[th] and you must share it between the too. You will see I have put a piece of Wedding Cake in for Sid and Ern. What sort of Weather are you having, better than we are I hope. We are getting a awful lot of rain. Well Wally & Charley, Albert is not going in the B[rick] field, he is staying at the old Dutch____. They can't get enough men for the yards this year so they haven't started yet. Alf has gone to Niagara today. Bert Street has just popped in. He is going tomorrow. Losing all the Boys again. I had a letter from Anne today. She said Bert had gone to Yarmouth for the Summer. Well dears I am glad to say we are all Well. Dad is much better able to work again. Working every night there he is to tired to do anything. Well I think I have said all this time. With Best love to you Both from Ever loving Mother & Dad, Sisters & Brother. Good by, God Bless you Both.

May the Lord keep you safe. Cheer up xxxxxxxxxx
