Marriage Registrations: 1801 - 1938
The Archives of Ontario holds marriages registrations and the indexes (where they exist), from 1801 to 1938. Please note that there are numerous gaps in the pre-1869 marriage records.
Please note: Marriage registrations for 1938 are currently closed for digitization. Please contact us if you require a copy of a 1987 marriage registration for legal or humanitarian reasons.
For registrations of marriages after 1938, please contact Service Ontario.
