Death Registrations: 1869 - 1948
The Archives of Ontario holds death registrations and the indexes (where they exist), for 1869 to 1948. We also hold registrations of deaths of Ontarians overseas for 1939 to 1947.
Please note: Death registrations for 1948 are currently closed for digitization. Please contact us if you require a copy of a 1948 death registration for legal or humanitarian reasons.
For registrations of deaths after 1948, please contact Service Ontario.
