Notice biographique : Barbara Williams

Barbara Williams prépare en ce moment la publication d’une nouvelle édition augmentée de la correspondance et des journaux d’Anne Langton (avec une introduction critique), sous le titre, A Gentlewoman in Upper Canada. Son article biographique sur Anne Langton apparaît dans le Dictionnaire de biographie canadienne, Vol XII (1990). Mme Williams mène des recherches sur la vie et l’œuvre d’Anne Langton depuis plus de 30 ans dans des collections privées au Canada et l’Angleterre.

Mme Williams travaille présentement sur une exposition rétrospective de l’ensemble de l’œuvre d’Anne Langton ainsi que sur une biographie de Langton. Elle a écrit une série de poèmes inspirés par la vie et la personnalité d’Anne Langton, certains de ces poèmes ont été publies dans des magazines et des journaux littéraires canadiens, américains et australiens. Elle prononce des conférences sur Anne Langton et son œuvre, dans lesquelles elle se sert de diapositives de dessins de Langton.
